Qeca OaQ 5 <br />O FY 2013 <br />❑ FY 2014 <br />Governmental Activities <br />• Overall program revenues increased $0.9 million. <br />1) Charges for services increase of $4.8 million or 26% was offset by a $4.7 million or 17% <br />decrease in operating grants and contributions. In fiscal year 2014, $2.3 million in court <br />revenues distributed to the Clerk were reported as charges for services but had been reported <br />as operating grants and contributions in prior fiscal years. <br />2) The remaining $2.5 million increase in charges for services was mainly the result of: a) <br />ambulance services revenues recorded as a receivable based on generally accepted <br />accounting principles guidance ($1.0 million) and b) an increase in impact fee collections <br />($1.1 million). <br />3) Capital grants and contributions increased $0.8 million due to the reimbursement from <br />FEMA for a hurricane -related beach project. <br />• Overall general revenues increased by $6.6 million mainly due to increased property tax values <br />and tax rates (increase of $5.7 million or 9%) and an increase in sales taxes ($0.9 million or 4%). <br />11 <br />
