Project: Indian River County Sector 3 Dune Repair Proiect OWNER's Project No. 0928 - A ENGINEER's Bid No. 2014037 You are directed to make the following changes in the Contract Documents: Description: On March 24, 2015, the Indian River County Board of County Commissioners approved a not - to -exceed amount for Change Order No. 2 to be 38,675 cubic yards (CY) or a maximum contract increase of $638,137.50, thereby increasing the final contract price up to $3,715,057.50. The final amount of Change Order No. 2 was contingent on a final calculation of the project sand fill volumes which were not available prior to March 24, 2015. The final sand fill volumes have now been calculated. Change Order No. 2 increases the following: Supply, Deliver, and Place Additional Sand Fill (Bid 'Form — Upland Sand Source, Bid Item No. 2) not -to -exceed 173,068 CY. Based on Survey Data submitted by the contractor on April 13, 2015 and confirmed by the engineer on April 17, 2015 the total additional sand fill (above the contract amount of 154,700 CY) was 18,368 CY. The unit cost for sand fill is $16.50/CY. The total amount of Change Order No. 2 is $303,072 = (18,368 CY x $16.50/CY). Upon execution of Change Order No. 2 and supporting payment recommendation by Engineer, the additional 18,368 CY will be eligible for payment. Reason for Change Order: Additional Sand Fill was needed to fully construct the project following erosion resulting from the December 2014 and January 2015 Nor'easters.
