Wednesday, September 26, 1984 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River <br />County, Florida, met in Regular Session at the County <br />Commission Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, <br />on Wednesday, September 26, 1984, at 9:00 o'clock A.M. <br />Present were Don C. Scurlock, Jr., Chairman; Patrick B. <br />Lyons, Vice Chairman; Richard N. Bird; and Margaret C. <br />Bowman. Commissioner William C. Wodtke, Jr., was delayed <br />temporarily. Also present were Michael J. Wright, County <br />Administrator; Gary Brandenburg, Attorney to the Board of <br />County Commissioners; Jeffrey K. Barton, OMB Director; <br />and Virginia Hargreaves, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order and asked that <br />there be a moment of silent prayer for Commissioner Wodtke's <br />brother who is having major surgery. <br />Commissioner Bowman led the Pledge of Allegiance to the <br />Flag. <br />ADDITIONS & DELETIONS TO AGENDA <br />Administrator Wright requested that Item 9B. Telephone <br />Lease Purchase Proposal be deleted and carried over to the <br />October 10th meeting. He then requested that an item be <br />added in regard to closing of roads in citrus groves, and <br />reported that in conjunction with Item 9A. re matching funds <br />for the Sheriff's Communications and E.O.C. Building, he <br />would have the Director of Emergency Management, Steve <br />Wells, give a brief report on Tropical Storm Isidore. <br />Commissioner Bird requested that an item be added under <br />his matters regarding the resignation of Rene Van de Voorde <br />from the Parks & Recreation Committee. <br />SEP 2 6 1984 <br />BOOKPry,;; <br />
