Indian River County is to receive $17,000 for assistance in performing <br />the County's responsibilities in the assessment program. The attached <br />agreement conditionally provides Indian River County $17,000 and <br />delegates specific tasks that are to be performed. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />The program and specific duties outlined in the attached agreement <br />were considered and approved in concept by the Board during a <br />previous meeting. The Division of Utility Services will be responsible <br />for implementation of the assessment program. Staff recommends that <br />the Board review and approve the attached agreement and authorize the <br />Chairman to execute the agreement on behalf of the County. Both <br />copies of the agreement are to be executed to provide original copies <br />to the County and the Regional Planning Council. <br />Commissioner Bird wished it confirmed that this will be <br />done in-house with our own staff, and this was confirmed by <br />the Administrator. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Lyons, the Board unanimously <br />approved the Hazardous Waste Assessment <br />Agreement with the Treasure Coast Regional <br />Planning Council and authorized the signature <br />of the Chairman. <br />Said Agreement is on file in the Office of the Clerk. <br />PRESENTATION OF ANNUAL COOPERATIVE FORESTRY ASSISTANCE <br />REPORT'�� <br />Urban'Vorester Paul Palmiotto presented the Board with <br />his annual report, which set out in detail the projects and <br />programs with which he has been involved during the past <br />year, and also lists his short term goals, long range goals <br />and ongoing activities. <br />Commissioner Lyons felt the list of projects is impres- <br />sive and that they have been of great benefit to the County. <br />His one suggestion was that Forester Palmiotto look into how <br />the County can become more involved in Arbor Day. <br />21 <br />SEP 26 1984 Roo,. 58 FADE435 <br />
