OMB Director Barton informed the Board that the next budgets <br />to be considered are those of the various Fire Districts. <br />The Chairman opened the public hearing on the North County <br />Fire District. <br />OMB Director Barton informed those present that this <br />District is composed of volunteer groups in the north part of the <br />County, including Sebastian, Roseland, Fellsmere, and Vero Lake <br />Estates. The proposed millage is 1.5, of which one mill was <br />voted in on a referendum vote, and it is an increase of 8.09% <br />over rollback on the .5 mill portion, which is the cap for the <br />District. The proposed budget is $563,597. <br />The Chairman asked if anyone present wished to be heard. <br />There were none. <br />Attorney Brandenburg read aloud the title of Resolution 84- <br />79, proposing a millage rate of 1.5 for the North Indian River <br />County Fire Protection District, which represents an increase <br />over rollback of 8.090 on the .5 mill cap. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously <br />closed the public hearing on the North County <br />Fire District. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Lyons, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously <br />adopted Resolution 84-79, establishing a millage <br />rate of 1.5 for the North County Fire District <br />for fiscal year 1984-85. <br />SEP 2 6 1984 <br />27 <br />BOOK 58 P"'j 76 <br />
