Develop siting criteria for hazardous waste storage/transfer <br />stations. <br />Since each county has its own unique governmental structure, those serving <br />on the TCC may differ from county to county. However, the following <br />agencies/departments typically have certain responsibilities with regard to <br />hazardous waste management and, therefore, should be considered. Some <br />suggested groups or individuals include: <br />1. Fire department <br />.2. Land fill supervisor <br />3. County planner <br />4. Solid waste authority <br />5. Environmental health officer <br />6. County attorney , <br />7. Code enforcement officer <br />8. Municipal representatives <br />Your attention to this matter is gratefully appreciated and we look forward <br />to receiving your nomination to the Regional Liaison. Should you have any questions on this matter I would request you <br />contact Sam Shannon at the Council offices at your earliest convenience. <br />Yours truly, <br />Honey Du can <br />Chairma <br />Commissioner Lyons passed out a resume on Sherman Reed, who <br />has considerable chemical background, and stated that he would <br />nominate Mr. Reed. <br />Discussion ensued as to whether everyone appointed must be <br />for a definite area, and Commissioner Lyons stated that in his <br />discussion with the Regional Planning Council, they indicated <br />they just didn't want to have everyone from only one area of <br />expertise. <br />Question arose as to whether this nomination is for the <br />local technical coordinating committee, and Attorney Brandenburg <br />noted that the Council is asking for nominations to the Regional <br />Liaison Committee and also suggesting that each county establish <br />a local Technical Coordinating Committee. <br />Commissioner Lyons stated that his nomination was for the <br />local Technical Coordinating Committee, but in discussion, it was <br />felt Mr. Reed should be on the Regional Liaison Committee. <br />62 <br />
