PURCHASE OF RAILROAD RIGHT-OF-WAY ADJACENT TO SR -512 IN SEBASTIAN <br />- ROLAND MILLER PROPERTY <br />The Board reviewed the following memos dated 10/15/84 and <br />10/23/84: <br />TO: The Honorable Members of DATE:October 15, 1984 FILE: <br />the Board of County Commissioners <br />FROM: Michael Wright <br />County Administrator <br />SUBJECT: Roland Miller Railway <br />Property —Sebastian, F1. <br />REFERENCES: <br />Commissioner Wodtke and I have had several discussions with <br />Roland Miller concerning the acquisition of the railroad right- <br />of-way adjacent to State Road 512. Mr. Miller has orally agreed <br />to a sale price of $295,000. <br />Attached for your consideration is a copy of Armfield- <br />Houck's appraisal which set the value of the 36.6 acres of land <br />at $330,000. Also attached for your consideration is a cash <br />flow statement prepared by Public Works Director, James Davis, <br />outlining the impact of the right-of-way acquisition on other <br />projects. However, County Attorney Gary Brandenburg has <br />indicated the cost of the right-of-way may be recovered through <br />the proposed traffic -impact fee ordinance. <br />If you have any questions, please advise.
