Wednesday, November 7, 1984 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission <br />Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Wednesday, <br />November 7, 1984, at 9:00 o'clock A.M. Present were Don C. <br />Scurlock, Jr., Chairman; Richard N. Bird; Margaret' <br />C. Bowman; and William C. Wodtke, Jr. Absent was Patrick B. <br />Lyons, Vice Chairman, due to illness. Also present were Michael <br />J. Wright, County Administrator; L. S. "Tommy" Thomas, Inter- <br />governmental Relations Director; Gary Brandenburg, Attorney to <br />the Board of County Commissioners; Jeffrey K. Barton, OMB <br />Director; and Virginia Hargreaves, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order. <br />Reverend Fred McClellan, First Presbyterian Church, gave the <br />invocation, and Commissioner Wodtke led the Pledge of Allegiance <br />to the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Administrator Wright requested that Item 14. (Verbal <br />Presentation by Frizzell Architects, Final Plans of New Jail) be <br />deleted from today's agenda and rescheduled for next week. <br />Chairman Scurlock asked that an item be added for Commis- <br />sioner Lyons regarding clamming activity in the river. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wodtke, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Bird, Commissioner Lyons being <br />absent, the Board unanimously (4-0) rescheduled <br />and added items as requested above. <br />APPROVAL OF MINUTES <br />The Chairman asked if there were any additions or correc- <br />tions to the Minutes of the Special Meeting of September 26, <br />1984.
