Brown <br />Director, Office of Manage t & : udget <br />Date: September 8, 2015 <br />Subject: Donation for Commemorative Benches at MLK Park and Budget Amendment 23 <br />Description and Conditions <br />The Board of County Commissioners has received a $5,000 donation from the Grand Harbor <br />Community Association, Inc. for commemorative benches to be placed at the MLK Park. Depending <br />on options selected for the benches (e.g. engraving, pavers) the actual cost may be less than the <br />donation amount. In the event there are excess monies after the completion of the project, staff <br />requests authorization to return the balance to the Grand Harbor Community Association, Inc. <br />The attached Budget Amendment allocates these funds to the General Fund/Parks/Operating <br />Supplies account. <br />Staff Recommendation <br />Staff recommends that the Board of Commissioners approve the attached budget resolution <br />amending the fiscal year 2014/2015 budget. <br />Staff also recommends that the Board authorize the return of any unused funds to the Grand Harbor <br />Community Association, Inc. upon completion of the project. <br />Attachments <br />Budget Amendment 023 and Resolution <br />APPROVED AGENDA ITEM: <br />BY: <br />&OA- 4 <br />oseph A.
