TCPaIm <br />All Aboard Florida: Let's work together on <br />quiet zones and more <br />Mike Reininger <br />POSTED: 10:57 AM, Sep 4, 2015 <br />UPDATED: 2:46 PM, Sep 4, 2015 <br />All Aboard Florida, the private passenger train that will link the <br />largest and most heavily traveled markets in Florida, recently <br />crossed two important thresholds. <br />For four years, our company has advanced processes to <br />introduce an innovative solution to a part of the transportation <br />infrastructure need our growing state must face. Two keys to the <br />plan include a study of the environmental aspects of our <br />proposal and a strategy to privately finance the business. <br />The recently completed Final Environmental Impact Study <br />conducted by the Federal Railroad Administration means that <br />over two years of comprehensive study has delivered the <br />guidance necessary to safely and appropriately implement our <br />plan. <br />The approval to issue Private Activity Bonds provided through <br />the U.S. Department of Transportation and the Florida <br />Development Finance Corp. means we can finance the project <br />without taxpayer contribution or exposure. Both results follow <br />exhaustive processes that included extensive outreach, public <br />input and an extraordinary airing of diverse perspectives. These <br />views have been fully considered and woven into the direction <br />provided by the experts and authorities charged with providing a <br />clear path forward. <br />As we now advance to building the business, the question on the <br />table is this: <br />How do we focus the dialogue on collaborative efforts to realize <br />
