DeBraal — Deputy County Attorney <br />DATE: September 1, 2015 <br />SUBJECT: Official Right -Of -Way Maps for Indian River Boulevard <br />• From U.S. Highway 1 to 20th Street <br />• From State Road 60/Merrill P. Barber Bridge to 53rd Street <br />At its meeting of August 19, 2014, the Board of County Commissioners approved Work Order No. 1 <br />under its Professional Service Agreement for Annual Land Surveying and Mapping Services Contract <br />1333 with Kimley-Horn & Associates, Inc., to provide the County with a comprehensive right-of-way <br />map for two separate segments of Indian River Boulevard, and excluding any portion of Indian River <br />Boulevard that is part of the State Road 60 corridor lying within the limits of the City of Vero Beach. <br />Those segments, totaling 5.21 miles are as follows: <br />• Beginning at U.S. Highway No. 1 and running northerly to 20th Street (2.12 miles <br />+1-) <br />• Beginning at the State Road 60/Merrill P. Barber Bridge and running northerly to <br />53rd Street (3.09 miles +/-) <br />Each right-of-way map has now been prepared, and no conflicts were found. Pursuant to Section <br />177.131, Florida Statutes, when the maps are approved by the appropriate governmental authority and <br />thereafter recorded in the public records, they shall become the official right-of-way maps of Indian <br />River County. The maps are extremely beneficial and will significantly aid County staff in the land <br />development review process and be a useful tool in the surveying of other properties owned or being <br />purchased by the County, thereby reducing the potential for costly errors.
