doesn't have the effect of a moratorium at a local level, but if <br />the County continues to review and approve projects in violation <br />of what is indicated in the plan, the Committee will use that as <br />an example of the County flagrantly violating their plan in an <br />effort to get us designated as an area of critical concern, at <br />which point the State takes over. At this point County staff is <br />looking for direction from this Board as to how they handle these <br />things without being in direct violation and giving DCA an excuse <br />to designate this county. <br />Mr. Keating briefly reviewed the transportation element of <br />the Hutchinson Island Plan, showing slides of the bridge <br />capacities, trip generations, peak season, etc. He noted the <br />performance standard is that there shouldn't be any more <br />development than can be accommodated and provided with a certain <br />level of service.
