TO: Board of County Commissione3QATE: November 27, 1984 FILE: <br />FROM: <br />/AA <br />ani <br />ide <br />SUBJECT: Vacancy on HRS District <br />IX Advisory Council <br />REFERENCES: <br />At the June, 1983 Commission meeting Bill Wodtke was <br />recommended for appointment to the District IX Advisory Council. <br />Yesterday I talked with Thelma W. Rich of HRS and she said that <br />last year five County Commissioners submitted questionnaires for_ <br />this one appointment and the Governor appointed Sarah Price an <br />Okeechobee County Commissioner. <br />At this time there is a vacancy for a County Commissioner to - <br />serve. It is for a two year term. <br />This Council meets on the 3rd Friday of each month in <br />different locations throughout the five -county district. The <br />five counties consist of Palm Beach, St. Lucie, Martin, <br />Okeechobee and Indian River. The Council is composed of 12 <br />members; 11 members are appointed by the Governor and one member <br />is the District Administrator. Dorothy Unversaw represents <br />Indian River County in the public sector and has served on the <br />Council for nine years. <br />The responsibilities of the District IX Advisory Council is <br />listed in the attached memo. <br />Commissioner Wodtke believed that since he sits on the local <br />Advisory Board, he would have a conflict. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wodtke, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously (4-0) <br />recommended the appointment of Commissioner Lyons <br />to the District IX Advisory Council. <br />J,'CONSIDERATION OF RESUME TO FILL PARK OWNER/MANAGER VACANCY ON THE <br />MOBILE HOME ADVISORY BOARD <br />The following resume of Robert Peters was reviewed, and it <br />was noted there were no other applicants for the vacancy: <br />45 <br />DEC 5 %9 BOOK 'j9 F,AGE"� <br />
