Wednesday, December 12, 1984 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission <br />Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Wednesday, <br />December 12, 1984, at 9:OO o'clock A.M. Present were Don C. <br />Scurlock, Jr., Chairman; Richard N. Bird; Margaret C. Bowman; <br />and William C. Wodtke, Jr. Absent was Patrick B. Lyons, Vice <br />Chairman, who was recuperating from surgery. Also present were <br />Michael J. Wright, County Administrator; L. S. "Tommy" Thomas, <br />Intergovernmental Relations Director; Gary Brandenburg, Attorney <br />to the Board of County Commissioners; and Virginia Hargreaves, <br />Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order. <br />Commissioner Wodtke led the Pledge of Allegiance to the <br />Flag. <br />ADDITIONS'TO THE AGENDA <br />Chairman Scurlock reported that he had received an emergency <br />request in petition form from The Moorings Property Owners <br />Association in regard to purchase of Hutchinson Utilities, which <br />he would like to have added under his matters. <br />Commissioner Bird wished to add two items - one, a <br />discussion re installation of security lights at the County <br />fairgrounds, and, two - a further report on the emergency <br />situation relating to potholes at the County Library parking <br />lots. <br />Attorney Brandenburg wished to add the following matters to <br />the agenda: <br />1. A discussion regarding the Hutchinson Island Resource <br />Management Plan. <br />2. Certificate of Occupancy for Mr. Tipton's church. <br />3. Extension of Options on parcels being considered for <br />the wastewater treatment plant. <br />BOU <br />
