In the event of COUNTY or DISTRICT MEDICAL EXAMINER'S <br />noncompliance <br />with <br />any provision of this Contract, the Contract may be terminated or suspended <br />in whole or part by the COMMISSION upon thirty (30) days written notice to <br />the COUNTY and DISTRICT MEDICAL EXAMINER. <br />4. The COMMISSION Agrees: <br />A. To pay the COUNTY a total sum of $10,229.00 to be paid in semi-annual <br />payments of $5,114.50. <br />B. Payment shall be -made on a semi-annual basis. Payment for the <br />first two quarters shall be made upon execution of this Contract <br />and after the Commission has received its 2nd quarter allotment of <br />General Revenue Funds, approximately October 1, 1984. The second <br />payment shall be made when the documents outlined in Item 1(C) <br />above are provided to the COMMISSION and after the COMMISSION has <br />received its 4th quarter allotment of General Revenue Funds, <br />approximately April 1, 1985. <br />5. This Contract is effective for the State Fiscal Year July 1, 1984 through <br />June 30, 1985. <br />6. The Contract is subject to the availability of funds, and the determin- <br />ation as to such availability rests solely with the COMMISSION. If <br />funds become unavailable, the COMMISSION may terminate this Contract <br />on twenty-four (24) hour notice. <br />7. Any alterations, variations, modifications or waivers of provisions of <br />this Contract shall only be valid when they have been reduced to writing, <br />duly signed and attached to the original of this Contract. The parties <br />agree to renegotiate this Contract if State revision of any applicable <br />laws or regulations make changes in this Contract necessary. <br />8. The COUNTY and the DISTRICT MEDICAL EXAMINER shall be independent con- <br />tractors, and not the agent or servant of the Department and shall not <br />be entitled, as a result of this contract, to any benefits granted <br />employees of the State of Florida. The COUNTY and the DISTRICT MEDICAL <br />EXAMINER shall have complete supervision and control over their own <br />agents, servants and employees. <br />P <br />
