BOOK 59 F'GE�.,� <br />RESOLUTION NO. 84-105 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br />FLORIDA, PUBLICLY DECLARING AND <br />DOCUMENTING INDIAN RIVER COUNTY'S <br />INTENTION TO DEVELOP A TRAFFIC <br />ALLOCATION PLAN WITH THE TOWN <br />OF ORCHID. <br />WHEREAS, on October 8, 1982, Governor Bob Graham, as <br />Chief Planning Officer of the State of Florida, and in recognition <br />of the unique characteristics of Hutchinson Island and the growth <br />pattern prevalent along the Treasure Coast, appointed the <br />Hutchinson Island Resource Planning and Management Committee, <br />pursuant to Florida Statutes §380.45, and <br />WHEREAS, the objectives of the Committee were to organize <br />a voluntary, cooperative resource planning and management program <br />to resolve existing and to prevent future problems, and <br />WHEREAS, the Committee developed the Hutchinson Island <br />Resource Management Plan and adopted the Plan on October 6, 1983, <br />and <br />WHEREAS, the Department of Community Affairs analyzed the <br />requests of the Management Plan and identified certain <br />implementation deficiencies, and <br />WHEREAS, Indian River County, by the adoption of <br />Resolution No. 84-104, stated the County's intent to correct <br />certain implementation deficiencies and now desires to state and <br />document its intention with respect to the remaining implementation <br />deficiencies. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF <br />COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, <br />that : <br />1. Indian River County now publicly states and documents <br />its intent to work with the Town of Orchid to prepare a traffic <br />allocation plan in accordance with the Hutchinson Island Resource <br />Planning and Management Committee's recommendations and to submit <br />such Plan to the Department of Community Affairs for their review <br />and comment. <br />dC <br />
