He <br />stated that he would not object to a joint hearing, however. <br />Discussion followed in regard to setting alternative dates <br />as requested by the consultant, and Franchise Administrator Joyce <br />Hamilton noted that Mr. Crosby needs the rates in effect by March <br />1st. With the required procedures to be followed, advertising, <br />etc., she felt the hearing would have to be about Tuesday, <br />February 19th. It was noted that the City Council meets on <br />Tuesday evenings. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously authorized <br />staff to advertise a hearing on the Florida Cable- <br />vision rate increase request for Monday, February 18, <br />1985, at 7:30 P.M. and agreed to invite the City of <br />Vero Beach to participate but not to make the meeting <br />contingent upon it being a joint meeting. <br />Mr. Crosby informed the Board that they are proposing to add <br />three or four additional channels as of March 1st. <br />Mrs. Hamilton stated that she would contact our consultant <br />in regard to the meeting date, and it was agreed to continue this <br />item in case it is necessary to set an alternate date. <br />�'AGREEMENT FOR STATE AID TO LIBRARIES <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously <br />approved the Agreement with the State Division <br />of Library Services and authorized the signature <br />the Chairman. <br />3 <br />JAN 3 0 19 5 Boon 9 FA698 <br />CE <br />
