Open Roll Off Containers <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 1/30/85: <br />TO: Board of County Commissioners DATE: Jan. 30, 1985 FILE: <br />THRU: Michael Wright SUBJECT: IRC Bid #231 - 40 Cu. Yd. <br />County Administrator Open Roll Off Containers <br />FROM: REFERENCES: <br />Caroly Goodrich, Manager <br />Purchasing Department <br />I. Description and Conditions <br />Bids were received Tuesday, January 29, 1985 at 11:00 A.M. for IRC #231 - <br />(4) 40 cu. yd. open roll -off containers for the Refuse Department. During <br />FY 84-85 budget hearings, $12,000.00 was approved for the purchase of <br />4 roll -off containers. <br />5 Bid Proposals were sent out, 2 Bids were received. <br />2. Alternatives and Analysis <br />The low bid was submitted by Industrial Refuse Sales, Inc. in the amount <br />of $2400.00 each, and meets all specifications. The bid price is $62.00 <br />less than the low bid received when the roll -off containers were bid in <br />April 1984. <br />3. Recommendation and Funding <br />It is recommended that IRC #231 be awarded to the low bidder, Industrial <br />Refuse Sales, Inc. in the amount of $2400.00 each for 4 containers. Total <br />bid amount $9600.00 <br />There is $12,000.00 budgeted in account #001-209-534-66.49 for 4 roll -off <br />containers. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously awarded <br />Bid #231 in the amount of $2400 each for 4 containers <br />to the low bidder, Industrial Refuse Sales, Inc., as <br />recommended by Purchasing Manager Goodrich. <br />13 <br />
