Davis , P. . , 7th Court S.W., 8th Avenue S.W., 16th <br />Public Works Direct r Place and to Consider Preliminary <br />Assessment Rolls <br />FROM: Jeffrey A. Boone 514 REFERENCES: <br />Civil.Engineer <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION <br />Valid petitions have been received from at least 66.7 % <br />of the property owners of the following streets <br />1) 7th Court S.W. between 3rd Street S.W. and 4th Street <br />S.W. (preliminary cost $18,042.) <br />2) 8th Avenue S.W. between 3rd Street S.W. and 5th Street <br />S.W. (preliminary cost $22,008.) <br />3) 16th Place west of 6th Avenue - Dead End (preliminary <br />cost $14,797.92) <br />Preliminary assessment rolls have been prepared for the <br />paving and drainage improvements. The total costs of these <br />rojects is approximately $54,847.92. There is approximately <br />p$308,245.to be set aside.in FY84-85 budget for Petition <br />Paving Account No. 703-214-541-35.39. <br />These roads will be constructed as revenue is received from <br />already.paved roads. <br />Also, advertisement of the Public Hearing and notification <br />to the Property Owners has been performed. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />After consideration of the public input provided at the <br />Public Hearing, it is recommended that motions be made to: <br />1) Adopt resolutions, providing for the paving and drainage <br />improvements for each petition paving project, subject <br />to the terms outlined in the Resolutions. <br />2) Approve preliminary assessment rolls including any <br />changes made as a result of the Public Hearing. <br />3) Allocate $54,847.92 from the Petition Paving account <br />to fund this work. <br />4) The Road and Bridge Division be notified to begin <br />construction. <br />Director Davis informed the Board that all three of these <br />projects have been before the Board in the past and staff was <br />directed to look into some matters brought up during the public <br />hearing and bring this back before the Commission. <br />44 <br />
