Wednesday, May 1, 1985 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission <br />Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Wednesday, <br />May 1, 1985, at 9:00 o'clock A.M. Present were Patrick B. Lyons, <br />Chairman; Richard N. Bird; Margaret C. Bowman; and William C. <br />Wodtke, Jr. Absent was Don C. Scurlock, Jr., Vice Chairman, who <br />was out of state on County business. Also present were Michael <br />J. Wright, County Administrator; L. S. "Tommy" Thomas, <br />Intergovernmental Relations Director; Gary Brandenburg, Attorney <br />to the Board of County Commissioners; Jeffrey K. Barton, OMB <br />Director; and Virginia Hargreaves, Deputy Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order. <br />Reverend Julius Rice, Community Church, gave the invocation, <br />and Administrator Wright led the Pledge of Allegiance to the <br />Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Administrator Wright announced that backup material has been <br />received for Item 8 - Impact of St. John River Water Management <br />Plan. He then requested an item be added under the Attorney's <br />matters in regard to the Florida Aquatic Preserves Rule Revision. <br />Commissioner Wodtke had appointments to recommend for the <br />proposed Occupational Licenses Committee and would like to add <br />these to the agenda; he -also wished to make a short report on the <br />activities of the Beach Restoration Committee. <br />Commissioner Bird wished to add discussion re disposition of <br />County property to Buckingham Florida Retirement Center. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bowman, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wodtke, Commissioner Scurlock being <br />absent, the Board unanimously (4-0) approved the <br />addition of the above items to today's agenda. <br />BOOK F U <br />
