t <br />H. 12th Street Widening - License Agreements for Railroad <br />Crossing and Stormwater Crossing - Resolutions #85-46 and8551, <br />Respectively <br />The Board reviewed the following memo dated 5/1/85: <br />TO: DATE: FILE: <br />The Honorable Members of May 1, 1985 <br />the Board of County Commissioners <br />THROUGH: <br />Michael Wright, <br />County Administrator SUBJECT: 12th Street Widening - <br />License Agreements for <br />Railroad Crossing and <br />Stormwater Crossing <br />FROM:James W. Davis, P.E. REFERENCES: <br />Public Works Director apr:12/widening <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITION <br />/To implement the 12th Street widening project the Cbunty must <br />enter into two license agreements with the FEC Railroad. One <br />agreement is to provide for the installation of a 36" storm <br />sewer beneath the tracks and the other agreement is to provide <br />for -the widening of the crossing. <br />ALTERNATIVES AND ANALYSIS <br />The cost associated with the agreements are as follows: <br />1) Storm sewer installation - a cost of $50 year license fee. <br />2) Grade crossing widening - <br />Annual maintenance fee - $980 plus electricity costs <br />Construction cost - $147,000 <br />These costs are very similar to the 16th Street crossing costs. <br />The FEC is fairly accurate in estimations. <br />RECOMMENDATIONS AND FUNDING <br />It is recommended that the authorizing resolutions, be approved <br />and that the License Agreements be executed by the Chairman. <br />Funding to be from the Florida Second Gas Tax (5th and 6th <br />Cent) . <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Resolution 85-46 authorizing execution of a license <br />agreement with Florida East Coast Railway governing a <br />storm sewer installation at the 12th Street Grade <br />Crossing. <br />LICENSE AGREEMENT IS ON FILE IN THE OFFICE OF THE CLERK <br />13MAY 8 t985 <br />• BOOK 60 NA -U898 <br />I <br />
