r <br />MAY <br />81985 <br />BOOK 60 <br />i,F1-186 <br />looking for a way to <br />be sure that this piece of property is <br />developed in the manner the Cooks' have presented. <br />Mr. Shearer noted that we do have an RT -6 district which <br />would limit a development to duplexes. <br />Chairman Lyons asked the Cooks' if that would be acceptable <br />to them, and Mr. Cook stated it would. <br />Attorney Brandenburg, however, advised that a change in the <br />rezoning request would have to be readvertised. <br />Commissioner Bowman felt that the Cook's intentions are <br />good, but pointed out that their neighbors are worried that they <br />may be building two-story homes. <br />Mr. Cook stated that the neighbors were welcome to buy the <br />property and keep it open space, and asked what would happen if <br />they did build two story units. <br />Mrs. Cook pointed out that some people in that subdivision <br />plan to build a second story on their homes. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously <br />closed the Public Hearing. <br />Chairman Lyons felt it is significant that no one is here <br />today from the neighborhood and Commissioners Wodtke and Bird <br />agreed. <br />Commissioner Wodtke noted that while there are times the <br />Board would like assurance that peoples' intentions will be <br />carried out, he felt this particular rezoning should be approved. <br />30 <br />I <br />
