Wednesday, June 19, 1985 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission <br />Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Wednesday, <br />June 19, 1985, at 9:00 o'clock A.M. Present were Patrick B. <br />Lyons, Chairman; Don C. Scurlock, Jr., Vice Chairman; Richard N. <br />Bird; Margaret C. Bowman; and William C. Wodtke, Jr. Also <br />present were Michael J. Wright, County Administrator; L. S. <br />"Tommy" Thomas, Intergovernmental Relations Director; Gary <br />Brandenburg, Attorney to the Board of County Commissioners; <br />Jeffrey K. Barton, OMB Director; and Virginia Hargreaves, Deputy <br />Clerk. <br />The Chairman called the meeting to order. <br />Assistant Pastor Larry Boan, Central Assembly of God, <br />gave the invocation, and Commissioner Bowman led the Pledge of <br />Allegiance to the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA <br />Commissioner Scurlock wished to add an item to the agenda <br />regarding a request for the Utility Department to do a study in <br />the Gifford Community re fire hydrants. <br />Commissioner Bowman asked that a discussion of a request for <br />an administrative hearing on the issuance of a DER permit to <br />River Run for a marina be added to the agenda, and Chairman Lyons <br />informed the Board that he had received a call about that item <br />and would like it to be scheduled for 11:45 A.M. time certain. <br />County Attorney Brandenburg requested that the two following <br />items be added to the agenda under his matters: <br />(1) Authorization for utility companies to enter Hobart Park to <br />survey the antenna site and also an indication that we will give <br />them easements where necessary. <br />(2) A Resolution authorizing the Polk County Housing Finance <br />Authority to operate within Indian River County. <br />Acr <br />JUN 19 1985 Boos.
