Description and Conditions <br />Bids were received Tuesday, June 18, 1985 at 11:00 A.M. for IRC #243 - <br />One (1) New 1985 Ful.1 Size 1/2 Ton 4 -Wheel Drive Pickup Truck for Code <br />Enforcement. <br />11 Bid Proposals were sent out. Of the 4 Bid Proposals received, l was <br />a "No Bid". _ <br />2. Alternatives and Analysis <br />There is $10,000.00 budgeted for the purchase.of a vehicle for Code <br />Enforcement. The Florida State Contract for vehicles.has expired. The <br />manufacturers are not accepting any more orders for 1985 models and have <br />not started production of 1986 models yet. The bids received from Velde <br />Ford, Vero Beach and Southside Ford, Jacksonville were for 1986 models <br />;and would not be received until after October 1. <br />The bid from Janie Dean Chevrolet was for (2) 1985 model trucks that are <br />in stock. Both have additional equipment not in the specifications, i.e., <br />radio and tinted glass. <br />All bids were over the $10,000.00 budgeted for a vehicle. <br />3.
