FIF- <br />JUL 1'7 1985 <br />BOOK 61 FACE 593 <br />4. The County shall provide Attorney with all the <br />benefits accruing <br />to County <br />employees <br />under <br />the <br />Rules <br />and <br />Regulations for the <br />Personnel <br />Management <br />System <br />of <br />Indian <br />River <br />County for an administrative position; however, the Attorney shall <br />be exempt from all employee management provisions of the Rules and <br />Regulations for the Personnel Management System and shall report <br />directly to the Board of County Commissioners under the provision <br />of the Indian River County Administrative Ordinance. <br />5. The Attorney shall act as the legal adviser to the <br />Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County according to <br />the terms of Section 1-35 (Ordinance No. 82-10, Section 5, 6/2/82) <br />of the Code of Laws and Ordinances of Indian River County. <br />6. This employment contract may be terminated by the <br />County <br />only <br />for cause <br />according <br />to the procedures <br />set <br />forth in <br />Section <br />1-33 <br />(Ordinance <br />No. 82-10, <br />Section 3, 6/2/82) <br />of <br />the Code <br />of Laws and Ordinances of Indian River County or in accordance <br />with Paragraph 7 hereof. Failure to diligently and <br />conscientiously discharge the duties of the office of County <br />Attorney shall constitute just cause for termination under this <br />paragraph. Should the County terminate Attorney under this <br />paragraph, Attorney shall be entitled to severance pay, calculated <br />based on Attorney's salary at the date of termination according <br />the following table and years of service: <br />Years of Service <br />2 or less <br />M <br />4 <br />5 or more <br />Severance Pay <br />60 days <br />90 days <br />120 days <br />150 days <br />Attorney <br />shall also be entitled <br />to <br />pay for all accrued <br />vacation time and <br />sick leave according <br />to <br />the regulations set <br />forth in the Indian <br />River County Rules <br />and <br />Regulations for the <br />Personnel Management System for administrative employees. <br />7. This employment contract may also be terminated by <br />the County at the end of the initial term or any subsequent yearly <br />extension thereof by giving the Attorney 60 days written notice in <br />
