JUL 17 1995 <br />ALTERNATIVES & ANALYSIS: <br />BOOK 61 PAGE M <br />The proposed construction is not anticipated to adversely <br />affect existing environmental resources. The applicant <br />proposes to set support posts on 24 in. x 24 in. x 8 in. <br />concrete pads versus "jetting" or "driving" support posts into m_ <br />the substrate. This will aid in reducing turbidity as a result <br />of construction and potential release of any substances which <br />may be resuspended into the water column as a result of <br />substrate disturbance. In addition, turbidity screens will be <br />placed upgradient from both culverts in the mangrove area prior <br />to and during construction to maintain turbidity control. <br />RECOMMENDATION: <br />It is recommended that the Board of County Commissioners <br />authorize staff to forward a letter of no objection regarding <br />this project. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wodtke, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously (4-0) <br />authorized staff to forward a letter of no objection <br />re the above project. <br />F.
