Mr. Fink noted that the Fink property is situated between <br />two subdivisions. His family has been there for many years, and <br />they don't intend to sell their property; they simply want to <br />remodel and expand their houses to be comparable with other homes <br />in the neighborhood. <br />Mr. Studer confirmed that the residential area did grow, and <br />while these home owners may not want more industrial, he wished <br />to point out that his property has been zoned for light industry <br />for many years, which these people knew, and he also wants to <br />expand. Mr. Studer again emphasized that he only wishes the <br />Finks well, but continued to express his concern about being able <br />to develop his property in the future, especially as they now are. <br />finally at a point where they are financially able to do so. He <br />urged that the Board not let the proposed rezoning indicate that <br />his industrial property is going to become non -conforming in the <br />future because of the residential area. <br />It was determined that no one further wished to be heard. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wodtke, the Board unanimously (4-0) <br />closed the public hearing. <br />MOTION.WAS MADE by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wodtke, to adopt Ordinance 85-68 re- <br />zoning the Fink property from LM -1 to RS -6 with <br />the understanding that there is a lot of land in <br />this area designated Light Industry, and the Board <br />will have to give this consideration when requests <br />for expansion of industry are received in the future. <br />Commissioner Bird noted that the Finks are in an MXD area, <br />which is predominantly LM on our Land Use Map. <br />32 <br />
