AUG 14 1995 <br />BOOK 61 PAGE 791 <br />Vice Chairman Scurlock stated that he would serve until <br />Chairman Lyons can return, and noted that we still have the <br />ability to add one more. <br />The Vice Chairman reported that the Library Plan would be <br />presented to the Board no later than December 31st and the Plan <br />would include presentation to the public of a referendum to <br />establish a special taxing district and a millage cap sufficient <br />to implement the Plan, which referendum should presented for <br />approval no later than March of 1986. This will be presented in <br />the form of a suggested Resolution on the next Commission agenda. <br />ACTION RE MAINTENANCE OF STATE ROADS <br />Commissioner Wodtke noted that he previously has expressed <br />his concern in regard to the lack of adequate maintenance of <br />state roads in our district, and he would like some action taken <br />in this regard. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wodtke, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously (4-0) <br />directed the Vice Chairman to write an official <br />letter to the State Department of Transportation <br />addressed to the Supervisor of our district, re- <br />questing that a joint meeting be set up between <br />their representatives, this Commission, and our <br />State Representative, Dale Patchett, to discuss <br />these problems. <br />NORTH COUNTY FIRE DISTRICT <br />The Board of County Commissioners thereupon adjourned at <br />10:15 o'clock A.M. in order that they might reconvene acting as <br />the District Board of Fire Commissioners of the North Indian <br />River County Fire District.
