Riverfront <br />Groves, who manage our grove, originally questioned whether the <br />fruit would be of good enough quality to sell for packaged fruit. <br />It now appears that much of it will be of sufficient quality to <br />sell for packaged fresh fruit. <br />Steve Futch, our agricultural agent, is an experienced <br />citrus grower and crop estimator. He has agreed to act in this <br />capacity for the County. I recommend that he be authorized to <br />proceed accordingly, and to advise the Administrator and the <br />Board of County Commissioners of his recommendations from time to <br />time. <br />Commissioner Wodtke inquired whether the agricultural agent <br />basically will just give advice and come back to the Commission <br />for approval before the fruit is sold. <br />This was confirmed by Coordinator Thomas. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wodtke, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously (4-0) <br />authorized Agricultural Agent, Steve Futch, to <br />make recommendations to the Board re sale of the <br />citrus fruit as above. <br />E. Out -of -County Travel - Parks & Recreation State Conference <br />Commissioner Bird stated that he would like to have <br />out -of -county travel to the 1985 State Conference approved for <br />both Commissioners and staff, but wished to assure the Commission <br />7 <br />AUG 14 1985 BOOK.
