AUG 21 1985 <br />g <br />Dr. Walker stated that his requirements are negotiable, and <br />further noted that he himself is still negotiating with the <br />Community College. <br />Vice Chairman Scurlock did not feel this is an efficient <br />operation by any means, but felt he could go along with an <br />increase based on the state study which indicated that $1.00 per <br />capita is reasonable. <br />Commissioner Wodtke believed we have made our point, but <br />stated he would prefer to go with the OMB Director's projection <br />of $16,500 for the remainder of the year. He could support the <br />Motion based on that figure. <br />COMMISSIONER BIRD agreed to amend his Motion to authorize <br />an increase of $16,500, and Commissioner Wodtke Seconded. <br />THE CHAIRMAN CALLED FOR THE QUESTION AS AMENDED. <br />It was voted on and carried unanimously (3-0). <br />Dr. Walker asked if there was anything the Board wished him <br />to sign, and in the ensuing discussion, Vice Chairman Scurlock <br />noted that the interlocal agreement actually never has come into <br />play because none of the conditions have ever been met; he, <br />therefore, believed it is invalid. <br />Commissioner Wodtke suggested the Board authorize the County <br />Attorney to review the whole situation and bring it back. <br />Administrator Wright felt we should go a step further and <br />see if we can get out of it. <br />Commissioner Bird stated he also would like to review our <br />option in regard to creating our own district within our county. <br />Attorney Vitunac stated that he and the Administrator would <br />talk with the Sheriff and States Attorney and determine their <br />feelings. Administrator Wright suggested including language <br />stating "we will pursue all options to improving the current <br />83 <br />
