The Vice Chairman then opened the public hearing on the <br />General Fund and asked that OMB Director Barton review it. <br />OMB Director Barton informed those present that the proposed <br />millage for the General Fund is 3.5, which is 20.01% over the <br />rollback rate, rollback being defined as those people at their <br />new value who were here a year ago divided into the total ad <br />valorem dollars they paid into this fund last year. The <br />proposed budget is $17,451,023. <br />The Vice Chairman asked if anyone present wished to be <br />heard. There were none. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Wodtke, the Board unanimously (4-0) <br />closed the public hearing. <br />Administrator Wright inquired about the Court Bailiff <br />position requested by the Sheriff, and the Vice Chairman believed <br />that if the Sheriff wants to fill this position, he will have to <br />fund it within the present millage limits and within his budget <br />limitations as discussed at this morning's meeting. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously (4-0) <br />approved a tentative millage of 3.500 for the <br />General Fund for the fiscal year 1985-86. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Bird, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, to approve a tentative budget <br />of $17,451,023 for the General Fund for the fiscal <br />year 1985-86. <br />Administrator Wright asked whether the Federal Revenue <br />Sharing money was moved out of this budget, and OMB Director <br />17 <br />j6_ SEP <br />4 1985 BOOK 61 F,,cr ��9 <br />
