Commissioner Scurlock wondered if by offering that service <br />to private events, we are getting involved with overtime as he <br />felt we need to be cautious about this. <br />Commissioner Wodtke believed if the deputies do this on <br />their time off and provide security and are paid for it, that is <br />fine, but if that money comes in and we have to pay retirement, <br />fringes, etc., possibly they are only getting $6.00 or so out of <br />the $10.00. With the Garcia decision on overtime, it could end <br />up being time and a half.
