BOOK Lko PACE�� <br />Planning & Development Director Robert Keating explained <br />that this request is to rezone a 28 -acre parcel from two zoning <br />districts to the new A-1, Agricultural District. The owners <br />intend to build a packing house on this property, which is an <br />agricultural related business, and want to get all their property <br />in the same zoning before they proceed with the site plan. He <br />believed that staff may have been a little over eager on this <br />because the owners indicated that they are planning on relocating <br />a packing house which is presently on south U. S. #1 which will <br />relieve a significant traffic problem. <br />Chairman Lyons opened the Public Hearing and asked if anyone <br />wished to be heard in this matter. <br />Dave Rever of Carter Associates confirmed that the <br />relocation of the packing house to the north part of the County <br />will ease the tremendous traffic hazard on U.S. #1. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously closed <br />the Public Hearing. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bowman, the Board unanimously adopted <br />Ordinance 85-77, rezoning 20 acres from C-1, <br />Commercial District, and A, Agricultural District <br />to A-1, Agricultural District, as requested by <br />Vero Producers, Inc. <br />38 <br />
