SEP 111985 <br />BOOK �; FAU,E <br />The Vice Chairman announced that the next budgets to be <br />considered are those of the various Fire Districts. He thereupon <br />opened the public hearing on the North County Fire District. <br />OMB Director Barton reported that the proposed millage is <br />0.5, which does not exceed rollback, and the proposed budget is <br />$311,044. <br />The Vice Chairman asked if anyone present wished to be heard <br />or present any objections. There being none, he thereupon <br />declared the -hearing closed. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Wodtke, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously (4-0) <br />adopted Resolution 85-98 establishing a millage <br />rate of 0.5 for the North County Fire District <br />for fiscal year 1985-86. <br />RESOLUTION NO. 85- 98 <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, SITTING AS THE BOARD <br />OF FIRE COMMISSIONERS FOR THE NORTH INDIAN RIVER <br />COUNTY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT, ESTABLISHING THE <br />TAX MILLAGE RATE TO BE LEVIED UPON ALL REAL AND <br />PERSONAL TAXABLE PROPERTY IN THE NORTH INDIAN <br />RIVER COUNTY FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT FOR FISCAL <br />YEAR 1985-86 TO FUND THE NORTH INDIAN RIVER COUNTY <br />FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT. <br />WHEREAS, the Budget Officer of Indian River County <br />prepared and presented to the County Commission a tentative budget <br />for the North Indian River County Fire Protection District for the <br />fiscal year commencing on the 1st day of October, 1985, and ending <br />on the 30th day of September, 1986, addressing each of the funds <br />therein as provided by law, including all estimated receipts, <br />taxes to be levied, and balances expected to be brought forward, <br />and all estimated expenditures, reserves, and balances to be <br />carried over at the end of the year; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners of Indian <br />River County held numerous public workshops to consider and amend <br />the tentative budget as presented; and <br />WHEREAS, the Board did prepare a statement summarizing <br />all of the tentative budgets showing for each budget and for the <br />total of all budgets, proposed tax millages, the balances, and <br />
