TERRY, <br />CHIEF, ROAD DESIGN SECTION <br />PUBLIC HEARING TO CONSIDER <br />RESOLUTION PROVIDING FOR THE <br />PA <br />VING OF 9TH COURT BE'T'WEEN 2ND <br />SUBJECT: �T AND SO, RELIEF CANAL; <br />13TH AVENUE BETWEEN 1ST STREET <br />TO 2ND STREET; 15TH AVENUE <br />BETWEEN 1ST STREET SOUTHWEST TO <br />2ND STREET; 11TH LANE SOUTHWEST <br />1245' WEST OF OLD DIXIE <br />REFERENCES: <br />DESCRIPTION AND CONDITIONS <br />Petitions have been received from property owners of the following streets: <br />1) 9th Court between 2nd Street and South Relief Canal (Preliminary Cost <br />$19,595.90, 69% consent) 1,447.40 front footage; <br />2) 13th Avenue between 1st Street S.W. and 2nd Street (Preliminary Cost <br />$33,850.30, 78% consent) 2463.39 front footage; <br />3) 15th Avenue between 1st Street S.W. and 2nd Street (Preliminary Cost <br />$33,850.30, 71% consent) 2332.85 front footage; <br />4) 11th Lane S.W. 1245' West of Old Dixie Highway (Preliminary Cost <br />$32,689.02, 67% consent) 2308.76 front footage. <br />Preliminary assessment rolls have been prepared for the paving and drainage <br />improvements. The total costs of these projects is approximately <br />$119,985.52. There is approximately $97,718.60 (as money from other roads is <br />replenished to the Petition Paving Account these roads will be paved) in the <br />FY84/85 budget for Petition Paving, Account No. 703-214-541-35.39. <br />Also, advertisement of the Public Hearing and notifications to the property <br />owners has been performed. <br />RECONIl4ENDATION AND FUNDING <br />After consideration of the public input provided at the Public Hearing, it is <br />recommended that motions be made to: <br />1) Adopt resolutions, providing for the paving and drainage improvements <br />for each petition paving project, subject to the terms outlined in the <br />Resolutions. The applicable interest rate shall be 1% over the Prime <br />Rate at the time the final assessment roll is approved. <br />2) Approve preliminary assessment rolls including any changes made as a <br />result of the Public Hearing. <br />3) Allocate $119,985.52 from the Petition Paving Account to fund this work. <br />4) The Road and Bridge Department be notified to schedule construction, <br />probably in late 1985 or when funding is available. <br />39 <br />
