Right -of -Way Easement (Blue Cypress Lake Park) - Peace River <br />€Tectric ooperat ve <br />The Board reviewed memo of Assistant County Attorney Wilson: <br />TO: The Board of County DATE: September 24, 1985 FILE: <br />Commissioners <br />SUBJECT: BLUE CYPRESS LAKE PARR <br />FROM: <br />As an�t Wilson REFERENCES: <br />County Attorney <br />The easement attached hereto will permit the Peace River Electric <br />Cooperative to install and maintain electrical lines through Blue <br />Cypress Park to service stilt houses in the lake. <br />Commissioner Scurlock stated that he would vote for the <br />Motion, but just wished to note that while we are taxing part of <br />our residents through the franchise fees charged to FP&L, we are <br />not receiving such a fee from the City of Vero Beach nor Peace <br />River Electric, which is not consistent, and he would at some <br />time like to get an opinion on this from our Attorney. <br />Commissioner Bird commented that he has not had a chance to <br />find out just where these lines are proposed to be laid and what <br />impact it might have on our abilities to further develop that <br />park. He did not know if there had been any coordination with <br />Peace River Electric on this. <br />Intergovernmental Relations Director Thomas reported that <br />there has been coordination, and he could not foresee any problem <br />as this is only a distance of 100' or so at the most, and it goes <br />from the far side of the little inlet where Mr. Middleton keeps <br />his boats straight to the edge of the water. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by Commis- <br />sioner Bird, the Board unanimously granted the Right -of - <br />Way Easement to Peace River Electric Cooperative, Inc., <br />and authorized the signature of the Chairman. <br />17 <br />BOOK62 PAGE 30 7 <br />
