Figure 6-4 <br />MEDIA RELEASE D <br />Evacuation Notice <br />M <br />+ Indian River County <br />lr Board of County Commissioners <br />Department of Emergency Services <br />4225 43`d Avenue, Vero Beach, Florida 32967 <br />Date: <br />❑ FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE OR ❑ FOR RELEASE ON: <br />Contact: <br />Telephone: <br />Fax: <br />Email: <br />The Indian River County Board of County Commissioners has issued an order <br />directing the immediate evacuation of the following area: <br />Local Emergency Services authorities have begun the evacuation of this area. <br />This evacuation order was issued in response to the reported release of <br />hazardous materials by: <br />Persons living in the affected area should follow the instructions given below <br />Take the following items with you: <br />a. Two (2) blankets per person, or a sleeping bag. <br />b. Change of clothing. <br />C. Important papers (checkbook, etc.) <br />d. Medicine, particularly special medication. <br />e. Toilet articles. <br />Lock your home. Turn off electricity, gas and water. <br />Go to Follow the evacuation route nearest <br />you. Do not move against traffic. <br />Time is important, but move safely. <br />Persons not having transportation should notify the <br />Persons immediately outside of the affected area are not subject to a direct <br />hazard; however, these persons should remain alert to any possible changes in <br />instructions resulting from changes in wind direction or accident conditions. Stay <br />by your radio or TV. Persons outside the affected area are also asked not to <br />travel on or near routes being used for evacuation.
