Langham Consulting Services Inc., has been engaged by Indian River County Department of Utility Services under <br />RFP # 2014043 to provide consulting services in relation to Automatic Meter Reading (AMR)/Advanced Metering <br />Infrastructure (AMI). The feasibility study work was undertaken by consultants from Langham, Dewberry and <br />Raftelis along with a core team of Indian River staff and the County IT department. The primary activities associated <br />with this task included: <br />❑ Gathered information through a series of interviews, surveys, and the review of business and technical <br />documentation <br />❑ Assessed the current environment at Indian River in relation to service area, meter age, current <br />technology and infrastructure, and a technical overview of systems <br />❑ Defined some of the current preferred AMI/AMR direction from an operational and field services <br />perspective <br />❑ Conducted vendor analysis and comparison to determine available technologies for AMI/AMR solutions <br />❑ Provided an industry perspective of what other utilities are doing in the market with their AMI/AMR <br />systems <br />❑ Defined alternative strategies for the funding and operating of the solution once implemented <br />© Langham Consulting Services Inc. 1 Indian River County Department of Utilities [ January 16, 20151 www.langhamconsulting.net <br />LANGHAM <br />
