of October 1, 2014 to September 30, 2015. This correlates with IRCDUS' fiscal year 14-15 Both reports
were run for residential customers only.
Report #1 consists of a list of the top 1000 highest
customer s used a total of 181,987,000 gallons of
Using the EPA's Water Sense data regarding leaks,
volumetric users for residential users. This group of
eater for the year (gpy). This equates to 498,495 gpd.
IRCDUS estimates that ten percent (10%) of that
number will be reduced through early leak detection. That equates to 49,859 gpd.
Report # 2 consists of a list of all residential users who used water in IRCDUS tier 4 water. IRCDUS bills
water using a tiered system. The tiers are listed below:
Tier 1— 0 to 3,000 gallons per month (gpm)
Tier 2 — 3,001 to 7,000 gpm
Tier 3 — 7,001 to 13,000 gpm
Tier 4 — over 13,000 gpm
IRCDUS assumes that customers using Tier 4 water are more than likely utilizing potable water for
outside water use, primarily irrigation. It is the goal of the utility to reduce usage of water in this tier.
IRCDUS estimates savings related to reduction of outside use of potable water will result in reducing
demands from those customers by 15%.
There are four hundred and seventy-five (475) customers identified in Report 2. These customers are
also included within the parameters for report 1 so they make up the sample 1,000 customers. These
customers used a total of 107,838,000 gpy. That equates to 295,447 gpd. Reducing that number by
15% equates to 44,317 gpd.
The combined savings of 49,859 gpd and 44,317 gpd or 94,176 gpd was used in the Cost Share Program
cost Effectiveness Calculator. This resulted in a cost of $ per thousand gallons.
Additional Specific Information Required
Project Timeline:
RFP Process through Award of Bid
Construction Phase — Installation of equipment and software
Integration of Software and Testing
Outreach to 1,000 customers
Go Live with Billing
July 2016 to September 2016
October 2016 to March 2016
March 2016 to May 2016
May 2016 to June 2016
July 2016
