n,C <br /> RESOLUTION NO.98-04 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br /> COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, <br /> FLORIDA,APPROVING A LEASE AGREEMENT WITH <br /> THE PROGRESSIVE CIVIC LEAGUE OF GIFFORD, <br /> FLORIDA, INC. FOR THE OPERATION OF THE <br /> GIFFORD COMMUNITY CENTER. <br /> WHEREAS, on October 26, 1988, the Progressive Civic League of <br /> Gifford, Florida, Inc., entered into a lease with the Board of County Commissioner <br /> for the lease of County property for the purpose of operating the Gifford Community <br /> Center,and <br /> WHEREAS, Lessee desires to extend the lease under terms <br /> acceptable to both parties;and <br /> WHEREAS,the Board of County Commissioners finds that such a use <br /> of County property promotes the community interest and welfare, <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF <br /> COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, that the <br /> Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida twreby approves <br /> and authorizes the Chairman to execute a lease agreement between the Board of <br /> County Commissioners of Indian River County, Florida and the Progressive Civic <br /> League of Gifford, Florida, Inc. as set out in the attached exhibit for the term of 20 <br /> years at a rental rate of One Dollar($1.00)per year,payable in advance. <br /> This lease is entered into pursuant to the authority of Florida Statutes <br /> 125.38 and 125.01. <br /> The foregoing resolution was offered by Commissioner Eggert and <br /> seconded by Commissioner Ginn, and, upon being put to a vote, the vote was as <br /> follows: <br /> John W.Tippin,Chairman Aye <br /> Kenneth R.
