Intergovernmental Relations Director Tommy Thomas explained <br />that after the original letter was sent in, we received the <br />following memo from Dave Jones, County surveyor, and as he <br />understood it, $8500 could be eliminated for the horizontal and <br />vertical control survey. <br />TO: JIM DAVIS P E. C <br />PUBIC WORKS DIRECTOR <br />FROM: DAVID JON PT <br />S,1\P.L.S. <br />COUNTY SURVEYOR <br />SATE: NOVEMBER 18 , 19 F� -�16, <br />cell <br />�O <br />SUBJECT: c� � L 9 <br />UBIT ENGINEERING LTD. <br />BUDGET ADJUSTMENTS <br />REFERENCES: ATTACHED LETTER <br />lj D.N.R. has permanent monuments along State Road A -1-A <br />with both Horizontal and Vertical Control established, <br />each of these monuments has two reference monuments <br />and are tied into the State Plane Coordinate System; <br />therefore, I don't see the need for additional mon- <br />umentation. <br />2) The ground control can be accomplished by staff. <br />Commissioner Wodtke, Chairman of the Beach Restoration and <br />Preservation Committee, reported that when the Committee looked <br />at the final work requirements after the contract with Cubit <br />Engineering had been negotiated, one of the questions raised was <br />j <br />the scale of the aerials, and the Committee asked Cubit to come <br />up with a price on a 111:100' scale, which would give us twice as <br />many maps. In order to get a full view of the Sebastian Inlet <br />and the cause and effect of shifting winds, it was felt it was <br />necessary to go a little bit further north into Brevard County. <br />When Cubit Engineering met with the Beach Committee, they <br />presented the following beach survey options: <br />19 <br />NOV 2.7 1985ox UE <br />
