`: <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 98-20 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br /> OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY AUTHORIZING THE EXECUTION <br /> OF A JOINT PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT WITH THE <br /> FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR <br /> PREPARATION OF AN INTERCHANGE JUSTIFICATION <br /> REPORT. <br /> WHEREAS,the Indian River County MPO Long-Range Plan and the Indian River County <br /> Comprehensive Plan identify an interchange at Oslo Road and I-95 as a needed transportation system <br /> improvement;and <br /> WHEREAS, an Interchange Justification Report must be approved by the Florida <br /> Department of Transportation(FDOT)and the Federal Highway Administration(FHWA)prior to <br /> authorization being given to construct an interstate interchange;and <br /> WHEREAS,Indian River County intends to retain a consultant to prepare an Interchange <br /> Justification Report for Oslo Road and I-95;and <br /> WHEREAS, the Florida Department of Transportation will provide a$70,000 Grant to <br /> Indian River County for the preparation of an Interchange Justification Report for Oslo Road and <br /> I-95. <br /> NOW,THEREFORE,BE IT RESOLVED BY THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY BOARD OF <br /> COUNTY COMMISSIONERS THAT THE INDIAN RIVER COUNTY BOARD OF <br /> COUNTY COMMISSIONERS AUTHORIZES THE CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD OF <br /> COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO EXECUTE A JOINT PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT <br /> WITH THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR PREPARATION OF <br /> AN INTERCHANGE JUSTIFICATION REPORT FOR OSLO ROAD AND I-95. <br /> THIS RESOLUTION was moved for adoption by Fnaprt <br /> and the motion was seconded by Macht ,and,upon being put to <br /> a vote,the vote was as follows: <br /> Chairman John W.Tippin Aye <br /> Vice-Chairman Kenneth R.Macht ye <br /> Commissioner Fran B.Adams Aye <br /> Commissioner Carolyn K.
