The Clerk wished to have the employee start <br />in January, which would cover 9 months of fiscal year 1985-86. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED by <br />Commissioner Bird, the Board unanimously approved <br />the request for an additional employee for the Finance <br />Dept. for 9 months of the fiscal year 1985-1986 with <br />the funding to come from the general contingency fund, <br />the balance of which is $273,515. <br />LEASE AGREEMENT FOR MOBILE UNIT AT NEW JAIL SITE <br />Administrator Wright suggested that we add to -the lease <br />agreement with Williams Mobile Offices an option to renew for one <br />more year at the same price. The rental is $26,400 annually and <br />that works out to $7.85 per square foot. The mobile unit is <br />coming with the interior designed the way we want it, but we will <br />have to install the bunks, etc. <br />Commissioner Scurlock asked if we have an option to purchase <br />at the end of the lease, and Administrator Wright confirmed that <br />we have the option, but he did not feel we would want to. <br />MOTION WAS MADE by Commissioner Scurlock, SECONDED <br />by Commissioner Bowman, that the Board approve <br />the lease agreement with Williams Mobile Offices <br />in the amount of $2,200 per month beginning in <br />February, 1986, with the funding to come from <br />the general contingency fund; and authorized the <br />Chairman's signature. <br />Under discussion, Commissioner Wodtke asked if this would <br />solve our overcrowding problems, and Administrator Wright <br />reported that we have DOC approval and this does provide for 36 <br />inmates. The judges understand, and it is just a matter of <br />keeping the cap at 105-110. <br />74 <br />
