INDIAN RIVER COUNTY ORDINANCE NO. 86-4 <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS OF <br />INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, AMENDING INDIAN RIVER <br />COUNTY CODE OF LAWS AND ORDINANCES NO. 82-26, ADOPTING A <br />STANDARD BUILDING CODE, 1985 EDITION; ADOPTING THE <br />FLORIDA MODEL ENERGY CODE FOR BUILDING CONSTRUCTION, 1984 <br />EDITION; ADOPTING THE NATIONAL ELECTRICAL CODE, 1984 <br />EDITION; ADOPTING THE STANDARD GAS CODE, 1985 EDITION; <br />ADOPTING THE STANDARD PLUMBING CODE, 1985 EDITION; <br />ADOPTING THE STANDARD MECHANICAL CODE, 1985 EDITION; <br />ADOPTING THE STANDARD HOUSING CODE, 1985 EDITION; <br />PROVIDING FOR LEGISLATIVE INTENT, INCLUSION IN THE CODE, <br />SEVERABILITY AND EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br />COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA that: <br />SECTION 1 <br />STANDARD BUILDING CODE <br />Indian River County Ordinance No. 82-26 and Section 4-31 <br />of the Indian River County Code of Laws and Ordinances is hereby <br />modified to read as follows: <br />The Standard Building Code, 1985 Edition, including <br />Appendix "A", as published by the Southern Building <br />Code Congress is hereby adopted by reference as the <br />Indian River County, Florida Building Code, subject <br />to the limitations, exceptions and modifications set <br />forth herein. <br />ENERGY EFFICIENCY BUILDING CODE <br />Indian River County Ordinance No. 82-26 and Section 4-38 <br />of the Indian River County Code of Laws and Ordinances is hereby <br />amended to read: <br />The 1984 Edition of the Florida Model Energy Code for <br />Building Construction published by the Governor's <br />Energy Office for the Department of Community <br />Affairs, Bureau of Code Standards, is hereby adopted <br />by reference as the Indian River County, Florida <br />Energy Efficiency Building Code. <br />-1- <br />JAN 8 1986 BOOK 63 PAGE 17® <br />
