8/98raso.fdotCk <br /> RESOLUTION NO.go' 8 0 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA, <br /> APPROVING A JOINT PARTICIPATION AGREEMENT WITH <br /> THE FLORIDA DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION FOR <br /> TRAFFIC SIGNAL SYSTEM ENHANCEMENTS. <br /> WHEREAS,the State of Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) and Indian <br /> River County (IRC)are desirous of making certain enhancements to the operation of the <br /> computerized traffic control signals at intersections on the State Roadway System within <br /> the County;and <br /> WHEREAS, the Joint Participation Agreement will provide funding for increased <br /> staffing to enhance operation of the County's computerized traffic signal system and <br /> funding to obtain, install, and maintain the system and communication hardware needed <br /> to maintain and optimize the operation and the efficiency of the existing closed loop signal <br /> system;and <br /> WHEREAS, the traffic signal enhancement Joint Participation Agreement is <br /> identified as: <br /> WPA 4115463; and <br /> FM#22861311154101 <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY <br /> COMMISSIONERS OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY,FLORIDA,that: <br /> 1. The above-recitals are ratified in their entirety;and <br /> 2. The Chairman is authorized to execute the above-referenced Joint Participation <br /> Agreement with FDOT. <br /> The resolution was moved for adoption by c a r n I y n F g t and the motion was <br /> seconded by Commissioner Fran Adams , and, upon being put to a vote, the vote <br /> was as follows: <br /> Chairman John W.Tippin Aye <br /> Vice Chairman Kenneth R.
