13. Unit Affords 10 Classification Timsfrauw: The period of <br /> time that an eligible housing unit assisted through the <br /> Indian River County Local Housing Authority Program must <br /> be available for, and occupied by, an eligible person. <br /> III. TRZ INDIAN RINZR COUNTY LOCAL HOUSING AS$ISTANCZ PROGRAN <br /> (IRCLRAProgram) <br /> The Indian River County Local Housing Assistance Program <br /> (IRCLHAProgram) is the mechanism to be utilized by Indian <br /> River County to provide assistance and incentives to encourage <br /> the provision of affordable housing for residents of the <br /> county. The IRCLHAProgram shall utilize various strategies to <br /> make funds held in the Indian River County Local Housing <br /> Assistance Trust Fund (IRCLHATF) available to eligible persons <br /> or eligible sponsors for the provision of affordable housing <br /> for eligible persons. By providing such assistance through <br /> the various strategies, the IRCLHAProgram shall serve to <br /> reduce the cost of housing for eligible recipients. <br /> The IRCLHAProgram will be implemented, administered and <br /> operated by the Indian River County Community Development <br /> Department. The requirements and guidelines for the <br /> IRCLHAProgram and its available strategies are as follows: <br /> A. General Program Reouirements <br /> The Indian River County Local Housing Assistance Program <br /> (IRCLHAProgram) shall be operated in conformance with the <br /> requirements of the State Housing Initiatives Partnership Act, <br /> Section 420.907, Florida Statutes, and the State Housing <br /> Initiatives Partnership Program, Chapter 9I-37 of the Florida <br /> Administrative Code. General operation and implementation of <br /> the program shall comply with the following specific criteria: <br /> 1. Advertisement and Notice of Fund Availability <br /> Formal public notice of the availability of funds for the <br /> provision of affordable housing via the IRCLHAProgram shall be <br /> made in the following manner: <br /> a. At the beginning of the State Fiscal Year: <br /> i. The availability of SHIP funds will be <br /> advertised in a publication of general <br /> circulation at least 30 days prior to <br /> accepting applications. A Public Notice <br /> Advertisement shall list the expected amount <br /> of funds to be available for the commencing <br /> fiscal year; and <br /> 6 <br />
