Wednesday, January 22, 1986 <br />The Board of County Commissioners of Indian River County, <br />Florida, met in Regular Session at the County Commission <br />Chambers, 1840 25th Street, Vero Beach, Florida, on Wednesday, <br />January 22, 1986, at 9:00 o'clock A.M. Present were Don C. <br />Scurlock, Jr., Chairman; Patrick B. Lyons, Vice Chairman; Richard <br />N. Bird; Margaret C. Bowman; and William C. Wodtke, Jr. Also <br />present were Michael J. Wright, County Administrator; Charles P. <br />Vitunac, Attorney to the Board of County Commissioners; L. S. <br />"Tommy" Thomas, Intergovernmental Relations Director; and Barbara <br />Bonnah, Deputy Clerk. <br />Chairman Scurlock called the meeting to order. <br />G. Julius Rice, Pastor of Community Church gave the <br />invocation and Attorney Vitunac led the Pledge of Allegiance to <br />the Flag. <br />ADDITIONS TO THE AGENDA/EMERGENCY ITEMS <br />Chairman Scurlock requested the additions to today's Agenda <br />of a retirement award to Fire Chief Forrest Smith and the <br />presentation of the Employee of the Year award. <br />Administrator Wright requested the addition of a funding <br />recommendation for the purchase of additional hardware for the <br />telephone system. <br />Administrator Wright withdrew Item 13B - Land Acquisition <br />for Indian River County Health Department Building - and advised <br />it will be brought back at the next meeting. <br />BOOK 63 FA -U[ ?08 <br />
