As -Built Resolution and Final Assessment Roll for Asphalt Milling <br />a.m. Improvements to 9th Lane Petition Millings Project in Glendale Lakes <br />Subdivision and Glendale Lakes Subdivision Unit Two <br />(memorandum dated November 30, 2015) <br />G. <br />227-234 <br />Public Works Director Chris Mora informed the Board that the <br />representatives of Glendale Lakes Subdivision and Glendale Lakes <br />Subdivision Unit Two had presented a petition to install asphalt <br />millings on 9`h Lane (within the subdivision). He said that the <br />petition met the requirements and the project was completed. He <br />reviewed the final cost estimates and recommended the Board <br />approve the As -Built Resolution and Final Assessment Roll. <br />ON MOTION by Commissioner O'Bryan, SECONDED by Chairman <br />Solari, the Board unanimously approved as amended: (1) Resolution <br />2015-140, certifying "as -built" costs for certain asphalt milling <br />improvements to 9` Lane, in the Glendale Lakes Subdivision and <br />Glendale Lakes Subdivision Unit Two, County Project No. 1436; <br />providing for formal completion date, and date for payment without <br />penalty and interest; and (2) to modify the interest rate from 5.75% <br />to 5.00% per annum. <br />Utilities Services <br />11:55 1. Agreement to Purchase 83.14 ± Acres of Undeveloped Land Contingent <br />a.m. Upon a Due Diligence Investigation <br />(memorandum dated December 7, 2015) <br />235-282 <br />Director of Utility Services Vincent Burke, through a PowerPoint <br />presentation, provided background, analysis, and issues associated <br />with the ±83.14 -acre parcel that recently became available for <br />purchase. The property is located at 925 5th Street SW, east of the <br />Osprey Marsh Algal Turf Scrubber site, and close to the Osprey <br />Marsh, South County Reverse Osmosis (RO) Plant, and the Indian <br />River Farms Water Control District (IRFWCD) canal system. He <br />outlined the County's requirements, the due diligence investigation to <br />determine the feasibility of using the site for potential water storage <br />and/or alternative potable water, and the pros and cons of purchasing <br />the parcel. <br />Discussion ensued as the Commissioners sought and received further <br />information regarding the future use/options of the property. <br />Board of County Commission Minutes Page 8 <br />December 15, 2015 <br />
