i <br /> I <br /> EXHIIBIT#A <br /> Work Order Number 5 <br /> Membrane Replacement for RO Skids #5,#8 and <br /> Installation of Membranes in RO Skid #7 l <br /> North (Hobart)RO Water Treatment Plant <br /> PROJECT UNDERSTANDING <br /> i <br /> The existing membranes in stage 2 of skids#5 and#8 at the Hobart water treatment plant have <br /> degraded rapidly,due to impacts from the scale inhibitor use. Replacement of the 2°d stage of <br /> each of these RO skids is necessary and will consist of removal and disposal of the existing <br /> elements,swabbing/cleaning of the existing pressure_vessel s,disinfection of RO skid product <br /> piping, installing new membrane elements, flushing, and startup and testing of new membranes in <br /> the existing skids. <br /> Specifications and drawings have been prepared under PO#71787-00 for membrane replacement <br /> of RO skids#1 and#2. Removal of RO skids#l. and#2 elements under the previous purchase <br /> order will be used in skid#7,which is currently empty. Placing skid#7 into service with used <br /> membrane elements from RO skid#1 and#2 will be included under this work order. <br /> Replacement of penneate hoses on the RO skids#I and#2 will be included under this scope of <br /> work. The work will be perfonned by an original equipment►manufacturer(OElvf) who has <br /> bonding capacity and a general contractors' license; experienced in performing this type of work. <br /> The work will be publicly advertised for bidding through Indian River County(IRC)purchasing <br /> department. <br /> SCOPE OF SERVICES <br /> The following scope consists of engineering support for membrane replacement of skids#5 and <br /> #8, permeate hose replacement on RO skids#1 and#2, Florida Department of Environmental <br /> Protection permitting,and startup set-vices for RO skid#7 at the North Hobart water treatment <br /> plant. <br /> Task 1—Update Specifications and Drawings <br /> Consultant will update the technical specifications to include membrane replacement with new in <br /> stage 2 of RO skids 45 and#8. <br /> Consultant will update the drawings and specifications to include penneate hose replacement with <br /> hard-piping on RO skids#I and#2 only. <br /> Task 2—Permitting <br /> Consultant will prepare a FDEP permit application FDEP Folin 62-555.900(1),Application for a <br /> Specific Permit to Construct PWS Components for a minor modification to the RO water plant <br /> without an increase in rated plant capacity. <br /> KAW1PB_Civil10�t572035-Hobart Membrane ReplacementtScopelHobart Membrane Replacement 5&8 Additional Services <br /> rev l.docx <br /> Page 1 of 3 <br />
