RESOLUTION NO. 2016- oo6 <br />WHEREAS, consistent with State Statute, on December 1, 2015, the Indian River County Board <br />of County Commissioners held a public hearing to consider amending Sections 103.09 and 207.02 of <br />the Code of Indian River County with regard to sun -setting the Indian River County Enterprise Zone <br />Development Agency, and <br />WHEREAS, after the sun -setting of the Enterprise Zone, it is the desire of the Indian River <br />County Board of County Commissioners to continue the local jobs grant bonus for targeted <br />industries located/locating within the geographic area of the former Indian River County/City of <br />Vero Beach Enterprise Zone. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS <br />OF INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, FLORIDA THAT: <br />1. Regardless of the sun -setting of the Florida Enterprise Zone Program and termination of <br />County ordinances and agreements pertaining to the Enterprise Zone Program, the County <br />shall continue to recognize the current geographic area and boundaries of the Indian River <br />County/City of Vero Beach Enterprise Zone (as shown in Exhibit A) for the purpose of <br />providing a 10% local jobs grant bonus for targeted industries located within that area. <br />2. The geographic area formerly designated as the Indian River County/City of Vero Beach <br />Enterprise Zone shall hereafter be referred to as the Indian River County/City of Vero Beach <br />Enterprise Area. <br />The forgoing Resolution was offered by Commissioner Fiescher and seconded by <br />Commissioner zc)r(- and upon being put to a vote, the vote was as follows: <br />Bob Solari, Chairman <br />NAY <br />Joseph E. Flescher, Vice Chairman <br />AYE <br />Wesley S. Davis, Commissioner <br />AYE <br />Peter D. O'Bryan, Commissioner <br />AYF <br />Tim Zorc, Commissioner <br />AYF. <br />The Chairman thereupon declared the resolution duly passed and adopted this 12th day of January <br />2016. <br />
